Secure what matters most to you.

At Total Techs we offer surveillance video systems, but we also offer a building and personal security assessments and training. We have a three-tiered safety assessment that you can pick and choose not only what is important and necessary to you, but what fits within your budget. Tier one is the curtilage of your property. Tier two is the building itself; we would assess the doors, jambs, windows, and other points of ingress and egress to determine what, if any, changes need to be made. Tier three is personal defense that is tailored to your residence or place of business and needs.

Basic

Tier 1 - Property Curtilage

Curtilage is a fancy legal term that simply means perimeter of your property. These services would include things such as fencing or foliage to deny access onto your property. Lighting to illuminate and deter unwanted individuals from accessing your property unobserved. And lastly, cameras to provide observation of the exterior of your property.

Tier 2 – Building Security

Commonly referred to as “target hardening,” this is where locks and hardware are assessed. When a door is kicked or rammed, rarely is the lock the mechanism that is failing. The lock is being forced through the trim wood, giving the individuals access to your residence or business. Windows is another point of access that can be upgraded in a variety of ways, ranging from incredibly cheap to Hollywood expensive. Simple methods such as longer screws in strike plates can help achieve better security, and we can help you devise a plan to make your house or business feel safer.

Advanced

Tier 3 – Personal Security

It is one thing to attend a flat range and learn to be a better shooter, and while this is a hyper critical skill to sharpen regularly, it lacks the problem-solving skills required to resolve a real-world assault on your residence or place of business. Not only will we provide you with training on the laws that pertain to the State of Idaho, such as the Stand your Ground and Castle Doctrines, but we will also help you create a safety plan that is specific to your needs and your situation. If desired, this will include firearms training, how to secure and defend your house or business, and even use force-on-force training to evaluate the safety plan that was created. (This portion will be taught by former military and law enforcement personnel).
